Privacy Policy

1. What we collect
Health Matters collects only what is needed to deliver healthcare services to you and your providers: your name, contact details, date of birth, the appointments you book, the messages you send to your care team, and the health records (lab results, vitals, prescriptions) your providers add on your behalf.
2. How we use your data
- To create and maintain your account.
- To enable secure messaging with your healthcare providers.
- To schedule appointments and remind you about upcoming visits.
- To make your medical records, lab results, and prescriptions available to you and your authorized providers.
- To improve the security and reliability of the service.
3. How we protect your data
All traffic between your device and Health Matters is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+). Records are stored in encrypted-at-rest databases hosted on Microsoft Azure. Access to production systems is limited to a small team of operators using strong, multi-factor authentication.
4. Your rights
You can request access to your data, request a correction, or ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing privacy@healthmatters.health. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal or health data. We share data only with the providers you've explicitly connected with, and with subprocessors strictly necessary to operate the service (cloud hosting, transactional email/SMS).
6. Cookies
We use a single first-party session cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
7. Changes to this policy
When we make material changes we'll update the "Last updated" date above and notify signed-in users in the app.
